Homelessness is still rising in Fairfax County

According to the 2025 Fairfax County Point-in-Time Count (PITC), homelessness in Northern Virginia has been steadily on the rise since 2017. Although Fairfax County is considered one of the wealthiest counties in America, homelessness still impacts some of its residents. Many organizations and people are attempting to fix this issue.

Homestretch: A Lifeline for Survivors and Their Children

October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time when we shine a light on the silent epidemic that devastates individuals and families across the country. It’s a month dedicated to breaking the silence and providing hope to survivors of domestic violence, particularly to homeless women and children who have fled abusive households in search of safety. At Homestretch, we are committed to supporting these brave survivors by offering them safe shelter and a nurturing environment where they can rebuild their lives.
